Dubai introduces Middle East’s first fully integrated RV tourism network
New initiative connects serviced parks, scenic routes and outdoor experiences
DUBAI – Dubai Municipality has announced the launch of the region’s first integrated recreational vehicle route, introducing a new model of nature-based tourism in the emirate.
The initiative establishes a unified and easily accessible network of dedicated RV stations, serviced parks and connected road-trip experiences. It is designed to strengthen Dubai’s appeal as a destination for outdoor travel while enhancing quality of life for residents and visitors.
The project positions Dubai as a regional hub for RV tourism by combining infrastructure development, regulation and private-sector participation under a single framework. The route will allow travellers to experience Dubai’s varied natural landscapes through structured, well-serviced and family-oriented outdoor destinations.
Infrastructure framework
Dubai Municipality will lead the development of core infrastructure and set the regulatory framework required for the operation of RV routes and parks across the emirate. Private-sector developers and operators will be enabled to build, manage and operate facilities within clearly defined standards. This approach is expected to diversify tourism offerings while creating new investment opportunities linked to outdoor and road-based travel.

By establishing a single, integrated network, the initiative removes fragmentation and allows RV travellers to move seamlessly between destinations. The model supports a comprehensive RV tourism ecosystem that includes accommodation, services and recreational facilities.
Landscape connections
The RV route will connect Dubai’s mountain, beach and desert environments, offering travellers a diverse range of experiences within one coordinated journey. Dedicated stops and serviced parks will be strategically located to allow access to natural attractions while maintaining safety, comfort and environmental responsibility.
These connected routes are intended to deliver a blend of adventure, cultural immersion and outdoor leisure. Visitors will be able to explore multiple landscapes through curated road trips, supported by infrastructure designed for convenience and accessibility.
Economic alignment
According to Bader Anwahi, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, the initiative reflects a commitment to innovative and sustainable tourism models. He said the project establishes the regulatory and infrastructure foundations needed to enable private-sector participation while offering new ways to experience Dubai’s natural environments through accessible, family-friendly destinations.
The initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, supporting objectives linked to economic diversification, innovation and global competitiveness. RV routes and parks will operate as year-round destinations, integrating hospitality, dining, wellness and recreational facilities for visitors of all ages and abilities.
Investment incentives
To support industry growth, Dubai Municipality will introduce measures to attract investors, including incentives, subsidies and reduced land costs for developers and operators. Collaboration with financial institutions will also provide flexible payment solutions to support RV ownership, rental models and service expansion.
The initiative will be promoted through targeted regional and international marketing campaigns in partnership with tour operators and private-sector stakeholders. These efforts aim to encourage RV travel, attract manufacturers and service providers, and position Dubai as a gateway for RV tourism experiences across the wider region.
Dubai Municipality has invited investors, tour operators and RV park operators to participate in developing and operating the network, presenting the project as a long-term platform supporting tourism growth, investment activity and community wellbeing.
